Note: Professional Club Academies should not be contacted directly. If you believe that a particular child has exceptional ability, then the first step is to make sure that they are registered with a local team - as pro-club scouts will, in the main, only assess any potential talent in a local league environment.
Youth Coaches
If there is a development structure within your league, eg: county team, then it is the responsibility of the county coach to identify potential talent, otherwise, the following procedure should be adopted:
** Email a relevant club (do not telephone directly), and provide the following information:
** Your role within the club, full contact details, name of team, age group (ie: under 12, etc), league, the player's name, age, dob, team colours, shirt number, position, and a list of at least 6 games/locations/times where the particular player will be playing.
The club may, or may not, confirm any scouting mission - but under no circumstances should you chase up any enquiry - clubs, on average receive 200 - 300 such enquiries per year.
